This Wednesday, September 10th at 4pm (3:30pm for coffee) in the Colt Forum, the Center for Justice and Reconciliation brings us another Brewed Awakening, No Hands But Yours: Faith-based community organizing changing life for the poor. This forum will feature Kevin Malone, Executive Director of San Diego Organizing Project (SDOP). SDOP is a member of PICO, a national network of faith-based community organizations.
Serving fair trade coffee, tea and speakers to stir the social conscience, Brewed Awakening is a public forum sponsored by Point Loma Nazarene University’s Center for Justice and Reconciliation whose mission it is “to study poverty and oppression and teach Christian means of social engagement.” Contact the Center for Just and Reconciliation for details.
